THE GOLDEN AGE OF TRAVEL IS STILL HERE
CARTE ATLAS was founded on a simple belief: the world still holds the wonder, polish, and possibility people imagine when they think of travel at its best. You only need the right moment to begin, and the right partner to help you make it real. At CARTE ATLAS, we pride ourselves on being the best Luxury Travel Agency in Hampton Roads, Virginia.
Before CARTE ATLAS,
travel was already part of the story.
My mother was a TWA agent. My father circumnavigated the globe through the Peace Corps. My shelves held the Adventures of Tintin, Hercule Poirot, and travel magazines from my grandmother that made the world feel close long before I had seen enough of it myself.
I studied International Business and set out with a list: states, continents, places to check off before life became too full. I loved the first arrival, the first view, the first sense that the world was bigger and richer than the place I had just left.
FOUNDER STORY
Then travel became less about checking off places and more about sharing them.
Since my husband had not yet been to Europe, I planned a trip to Paris and London before he turned forty. My dream of Hawaii by thirty could wait. What I did not expect was the joy I would find in seeing familiar places become new through someone else’s eyes.
I still remember his first steps into Paris, the first look inside Sainte-Chapelle, the dinner in London that ended with a view of St. Paul’s, and a dessert welcoming us to the city. Those moments changed what travel meant to me.
THE DISCOVERY
The right journey does not pull
you away from your life. It gives
more meaning to it.
Many CARTE ATLAS clients have spent years investing in family, work, community, and causes that matter. They are not short on desire. They are short on time, clarity, and permission to finally say yes.
My role is to help you find the trip worthy of that yes: the one that fits your pace, your standards, your people, and the legacy you are still building. As a Virtuoso Travel Advisor, a leading expert in travel and the best Luxury Travel Advisor in Hampton Roads, Virginia, let's say yes to a life well lived!
Why It Matters
Travel should become part of how you live,
not something you keep postponing.
CARTE ATLAS is designed for travelers who want to begin with one meaningful journey and come home ready for the next. Not because travel is an escape from responsibility, but because seeing the world can make the life you return to feel larger, richer, and more fully lived.
