What is the Best Way to Get Photos Done While Traveling?

Photography & Travel go hand in hand. Whether it’s with a selfie with your friends, or capturing amazing food we are enjoying. Perhaps it is the sunset that hits just right. Or even better, a moment caught by someone else that shows your emotion, feeling, and joy while you travel. That last reason is why my best way to get photos done while traveling is with a professional.

We have enjoyed professional photos on our travels, specifically on our honeymoon. Capturing photos during this once in a lifetime event was wonderful. They became our christmas card and flooded our home even to this day. Iconic views mixed with our emotion of seeing it up close, were captured beautifully. WHAT IS A GOOD REASON TO HAVE PHOTOS DONE?

There are countless ways to enjoy a photography session, and plenty of ideas. Following along with the honeymoon theme, there is also anniversaries. From your wedding to even your first date or first kiss. You can find love in the air with a professional photoshoot that captures these emotions.

Or perhaps family is at the heart of the trip. Whether with parents, grandparents, kids or grandkids; the more smiles and laughs, the more fun to be shared! My favorite photos are with all four of my grandparents on a trip to Texas. A babymoon is also a wonderful way to welcome a new member on the way. And of course, a remembrance photo shoot brings a special moment to life as you find peace during your journey.

And of course, there is celebrating the one and only YOU. From your birthday to perhaps just you solo and enjoying life. There is nothing wrong with having a moment special to you. I have done it! And it was one of the best days. No matter the reason, time spent enjoying your trip should be savored. My thought is to schedule and have fun even if you cannot find a “good reason”, because my opinion is the fact you are traveling is a good enough reason. Enjoy your time! And capture that moment.

Of course, and we recommend you do! Create a shared album and name it your location and date. Then, upload your photos into it as you go. That saves them all in the right spot. For special moments though, if you are the one clicking the button then you are not in the moment. Professionals will also know those hidden places that others do not. I can attest to this during our trip to the Taj Mahal. Our guide knew where to go and what we should do. It was perfection! ISN’T IT EXPENSIVE?

A trip with flights, hotels or cruises, dining out, and activities can feel like quite a bit. What I personally love about photography sessions is that it creates memories. Photography while sightseeing go hand in hand. If you are already planning to see something, why not have someone capture that moment for you. It’s not additional time spent. It is just making memories while enjoying what you were already planning to see. The time will almost go so quick, you will not even notice. 60 minutes is our recommendation for a minimum amount of time because you will simply find more things to enjoy, smile, laugh, and relax while your photos are taken.
